"We have been at Happy Steps for 14 months and it’s been the most wonderful experience for our daughter and us. Lindsay is a caring, nurturing, and loving teacher. All of the teachers have been wonderful! Our daughter loves going to school and it was great seeing her run into school on her first day and wave us goodbye (her first drop off was harder for us!) Lindsay was happy to let us transition her in a few hours a day and work up to a full day. Our daughter had been home for 2 years during the pandemic but the energy at this school made our daughter feel instantly comfortable and we love that it’s a warm home feeling with preschool learning. We toured larger and much more expensive programs but didn’t feel that she would get the same attention that she receives at Happy Steps. If we have questions or concerns with modifying anything to accommodate our daughter, Lindsay is attentive and works to help adjust where needed. The Butterfly Room

Let's LEARN! Welcome to the preschool and preK classroom! Our older students enjoy circle time and story time with their preschool teachers, in this classroom, and get to explore our play centers through dramatic play, block play, library, light table, marble run, and structured activities. At circle time, we're moving our bodies, practicing the sounds of the ABCs, counting, singing, becoming familiar with the calendar and seasons. We have group discussions in which children are encouraged (never forced) to share in their own way! |

The Tables Room

Let's EAT! This room is designed to comfortably accommodate dining for our 16 students. It's also used for our daily curriculum activities including art, tracing, cutting and pasting, science experiments, math skill building, creating beaded bracelets, phonics games, puzzles, clay, exploring musical instruments, sensory bins, and more! We have so much fun getting into projects and seeing where our curiosity takes us! |

Our Fenced Outdoor Play Space

Let's PLAY!
We enjoy 90 minutes of outside play, in a typical day! We do an hour in the morning and 30 minutes before we close. We have a dramatic play area on one side, sand table and patio for driving cars in the center, and shaded area for running and jumping on the other side, in our large fenced yard! We loooove looking for bugs, playing with pine cones, blowing bubbles, and creating new games! |
